Intergraf is a European printing and digital communication federation based in Brussels. They represent 24 national printing associations in 21 countries across Europe.

Background

Every 18 months the association organises an international event called the Security Printers Conference and Exhibition. Over 100 exhibiting companies and 1000 participants from more than 60 countries attend this international event — managed by Intergraf in-house.

The brief

In the summer prior to their event of April 2015, Intergraf was confronted with a sudden lack of human resources in their events team. With one member going on maternity leave and a second discontinuing their career, they were in urgent need of organisational support to ensure continuity in the preparations of their conference and exhibition.

The interim manager

Having worked with Connected Concepts before, Intergraf knew first-hand they would prove a natural fit and had the expertise to be up and running their project within days. Connected Concepts was commissioned to fill the post of Exhibition Coordinator, responsible for every aspect of the exhibition budget, planning, sales, marketing, organisation and administration.

The achievement

The initial priority was to implement a smooth, reliable online booth sales system, to improve the invoicing and administration of the exhibition and to ensure a flawless customer service and onsite experience for exhibitors. All sales targets have been reached by the end of the event and over 95% of the exhibitors declared rated the organisation good to excellent in the post-event evaluation. Connected Concepts interim project manager ultimately remained in place over the last 2 years and still continuing.
